I want to travel to India after march 2010 and do cooking & textile workshops, do you know of any?

If you are talking about institutional knowledge that I know nothing about.....If you are talking about hands on practical knowledge I doubt you will find any problem in locating that. As far as cooking goes, you can get the basic dishes instruction almost anywhere in India....many cities have Cooking cles available...or you could just eat about and inquire of the chef of the place you like to eat... I do know that in Rishikesh there is an amazing teacher named Arjun... running Taste in your Hands! It is an informal environment but you will learn a lot about food....the properties of such with a health conscious approach. He teaches upon request and has been doing so for many years. Fun, sincere, and knowledgeable. Cuisine of various regions could generally only be taught within that region....and remember that non-veg is not so common. As far as textiles go, I really have little idea...although I am sure that in cities(places) that are known for such one could find someone to teach them the ropes....Best of luck...._/\_
