How do you deal with a husband who travels for work?

This is the first time my husband has been out of state since we got married Sept 22nd, 2007. I miss him terrible how do I deal with him being gone? Its hard for me to deal with yes its his job but still hurts that I cant lay in the same bed as him or hear his heart beat or lay my head on his cheat and hear him breath. Or hear him whisper I love you in the middle of the night. We have a 5 mth old daughter who has been waking up constantly since he left for work cause she is having nightmares yes i know he is out there working for a living for us but it still hurts any suggestions?
