I can only read spanish!?

Copying the newspaper is a good idea. And if you want to learn to speak it, one of the best things you can do is read out loud to yourself. This does two things. First, it trains your mouth and vocal cords to pronounce in Spanish. And second, your brain will start picking up the vocabulary and grammar that you need to carry on a conversation. Understanding what you read is very different from being able to speak, and the only way to learn how to speak is by practicing!
