Can ranitidine cause high blood pressure?

ya i think it could be a side effect of the ranatidine, i think you are being smart by stopping it but according to your reading you have high blood pressure as it is... 132 over 79 is stage I hypertension...so it may be necessary for you to take the beta blockers eventually, but you could try working with it yourself..... a more natural approach to getting your blood pressure back down to 120/80 or even better would be 110/70....you could eat healthier excersize moderately a couple times a week and limit your salt intake (salt causes the blood pressure to rise) and drink plently of fluids
